Fall Ball Update

After our abridged and almost non-existent rec baseball season, we're hopeful for a chance to be able to play this fall. The long and the short of it is - we don't know.

The current State guidelines allow for no gatherings with more than 50 people, which in-and-of-itself would appear to preclude a baseball season. However, we are permitted to operate provided we follow a strict set of rules, things like no use of dugouts, no parents in the bleachers, hand sanitizer stations, etc. We are prepared to do everything within our power to meet the established health and safety guidelines and protocols to provide for you a forum to play baseball this fall, but we don't know what we don't know (for the better or worse).

Instead of making this complicated, I figured I would proceed as if it were 'all systems go' and get the ball rolling. So, presuming we will have a baseball season, below, you will find an abbreviated schedule of events.

It's critically important that anyone that will play if we are allowed to play, register as soon as it opens. We need to know what the demand will be as quickly as possible. Payment is required at the time of registration, but if the season is canceled before our uniform order (week of the draft), we will refund 100% of your payment.

Brent and I both have spent a great deal of time with the Gwinnett County authorities this spring and summer, and I can promise you they are not obstructionists in any way. They want to open the parks as much as we do. As things stand now and provided the gathering restrictions do not worsen, I see no reason we won't have a season. But as with all of our lives right now, that's, of course, TBD!

One other note:

All 2020-21 travel teams head coaches have been selected, and I'll send out a separate announcement with more information and open tryout dates/times (expect them to be in July).

Thanks for your patience – our fingers are crossed. Text, call or email if you have any questions.

Best –
