The NGBSA Major All-Star team had quite a successful summer!  After only 3 days of practice together as a team, the Bulldogs played in “The Abigail” All-Star Invitational.  They secured the number one seed for championship bracket play by defeating Archer 14-9 and Mill Creek 7-2 in pool play.   The first championship game was a rematch with Archer and was won by the Bulldogs 14-4 with the help of a 12 run third inning.  The championship game was to be against either Mill Creek or Lanier whose semi-final game was rained out.  Unfortunately, the rain was too much to allow the tournament to be completed on the field, but the Bulldogs brought home the hardware by virtue of being the number one seed and going 3-0 in the tournament.

The next two tournaments, The Bulldog Bash and the Central Park All-Star Invitational, were both played at Central Park in Cumming.  In the Bulldog Bash, the NG Bulldogs again were seeded number one after going undefeated in pool play.  A disappointing one-run loss, however, sent the Bulldogs home earlier than planned.  In the Central Park All-Star Invitational, the Bulldogs started out strong beating Buford 13-4.  Consecutive 5-4 losses to the Buckhead Bombers and the Roswell Renegades again sent the Bulldogs home frustrated, but more experienced and determined to finish their summer on a high note.

Their final tournament of the summer was the 3rd Annual Bases Loaded All-Star Summer Classic at Lenora Park.  In their first game against Shaw Park, the Bulldogs received consistent hitting, good defense and strong pitching for a 7-2 victory.  After the final pool games were rained out, the Bulldogs were seeded number three and faced Shiloh in their first championship bracket game.  Hits were hard to come by, but the Bulldogs won 4-3 in 7 innings with the help of good defense and outstanding pitching.  After defeating Hebron by virtue of a forfeit, the Bulldogs advanced to the championship game to face the number one seeded team from Dacula.  The NG Bulldogs broke the ice by scoring 3 runs in the second inning only to see Dacula battle back and tie the game at 7-7 after three innings.  The Bulldogs, however, continued to fight and won their second championship of the summer by beating Dacula 10-7.

Members of the team are:  Josh Butler, Brandon Contreras, Logan Hall, Rico Hannah, Andre Hilaire, Brian Leimkuehler, Tristan Meeks, Ryan Nauert, Jayden Perrine, Jason Scott, Adrian Tate and Brandon Waterfill.  Head Coach is Tim Leimkuehler and Assistant Coaches are Rob Hall, Adrian Tate and Blake Meeks.
