The road to state began June 7 in Buford vs Auburn with a 10-0 win. Pitching was the key for their first win of the week long tournament. They came back on day two with a win against Collins Hill B team, 9-2. The team came out hitting scoring all 9 runs in the first 3 innings. Day 3 the Bulldogs came up with an 11-0 win over Buford National White. They were able to score 7 runs in the last inning to secure the win. After rain delayed the tournament a day, the Bulldogs came back strong on Day 5 to win vs Collins Hill B, who came up through the loser bracket, 11-2. The Bulldogs’ bats were hot scoring in the each inning. The win put them in the championship game vs. Buford National White for the 5th time this season. The Bulldogs came out strong with offense and defense scoring 5 in the 1st, 3 in the 2nd and 4 in the 3rd. Bulldogs secured their place in the State tournament with a score of 12-6.
