Congratulations to the North Gwinnett Blaze on their undefeated Spring 2010 GYSA season. The 10-U travel team won all 10 of its GYSA games outscoring opponents 153 runs to 38. The Blaze's perfect season also included two shutouts. The season finale was a hard-fought game against the Dacula Falcons, a team whose only loss came in that last game. Go Blaze!

The road to Nationals started in Cherokee County for the North Gwinnett Blaze, where on Sunday, June 6, the team won the Cherokee ASA tournament.
As the tournament champions, the Blaze earned the fifth of Georgia's seven berths to the 2010 Amateur Softball Association's (ASA) Nationals.
As a result, the NG Blaze is headed to Chattanooga, TN, in August to play against the best A-level softball teams in the country. The team landed its berth in Cherokee, beating the Georgia Fire, Collins Hill, the Easton Elite, and the Georgia Fire (again). Everybody in the Blaze nation all aboard... we're heading to Chattanooga and the nation's best 10U A softball!  Choo-Choo!
